Hello Dear Friends,
I pray your day is going wonderfully well!!
I have shared at different times things I am working on or have done as far as projects around our home.Β I haven’t shared much the tools I have in place to work on or keep track of these projects. So after being asked, here we go…I hope this helps!!
~
I keep a calendar hanging in my kitchen and one in my office for all in our family to see. I try to post general events so all will be aware of coming events.
I keep a daytimer type of calendar as well. I have done all the notebooking/planner binders as well, but I have discovered in myself…keep it all simple (and light in my purse)for the day to day is best. A simple calendar from the business supply store does very, very well for me. I find the 8″x5.5″ works beautifully…there is room to write and it is easy to actually carry with me. I try to be sure to find one in my “signature color” π and one with an additional pocket inside is great!! I keep in the pocket full of sticky notes, a small notepad, a thank you note or two for last minute or out and about note writing and a large clip for anything that needs fastening in for additional security…of course in my signature color here as well!! πΒ This pocket is also great for any list I need to carry that is for some unusual reason…not a sticky note!! Here are some fun options like what I use. π
Β OK…I LOVE sticky notes!! I use them in every shape, size, function!! π So if you haven’t guessed this yet, my calendar came with a little sticky note insert for use in my calendar!! LOVE IT!!! π Some small notes and a variety of flag stickies were included!! Didn’t this calendar have my name all over it!?!?! π And if it doesn’t come with tabs…I add sticky note tabs. π Easy peasy!!
And also, I have a project planner journal (same size as calendar) book. It is simple and easy. I use my sticky note tabs and set up sections: Yearly Goals, Monthly Goals, Weekly Goals, Daily Goals.
Now you may be asking…isn’t this what the calendar is for? You can use your calendar for this goal setting. I just found that this other style was GREAT for keeping all neat and clean in my mind. I flush out all the projects I need to do. I assign them a month. And then as the month comes up, I better define the projects, what they will need and how I will do it. Then if they are really detailed projects and I need a “longer list” I assign these to the Week and then list the to do’s in the Daily Goals. I then list them briefly in my calendar I carry and I leave this project planner at home on my desk in its special spot for reference or work. I do not work from this Project Planning notebook daily. It is exactly used for Project Planning…only. π
It also helps to keep a large pad super sticky notepad in the back of my Project Planner to make any shopping list or delegating lists to pass out. π (FYI: These Super Sticky Notes are great…as they are sooooo sticky they will actually stay on the handle of your shopping cart or car dash when we need to post them to check off your list when out and about running errands!! π And I LOVE that they are lined as well!!)
When using the Project planner…I only write on one side of the notebook pages so I can add additional notes or even sticky notes on the empty partner page (left side) when planning or adding info later. It works very well…and I rarely if ever not use the left page…so none goes to waste!! π
And finally, I have used an online calendar as well. Cozi.com. It is an excellent tool and allows your family to be messaged and view as well. But over time, I realized I am a write it down list kinda gal!! π Something about the official checking off that floats my boat!! π
But no matter what you are using…plan well as best as can be done. Seek and trust the Lord for His timing. And work to use your time wisely…but also be flexible to the Lord’s will and His timing. π
I pray this encourages you today!! If you have any additional tips…please add a comment or keep contacting me!! I LOVE everyone’s input!! You are all sooooo amazingly encouraging!! Thank YOU!!! π
Have a wonderful day in the Lord…He has such great plans for your life,
k xoxo
PS…Oh, I do LOVE the use of colored pens for each family member and each major subject or events…but if in a pinch, I am just happy when all is listed and beautifully checked off!! I LOVE my super fine black Sharpie.

Β I have these EVERYWHERE!! π And they fit beautifully in the spiral of notebooks.
And they now have them in colors!! Woo Hoo!!! π On my back to school list for Mommy!! π And I will use my Office Supply store credits and have all back to school supplies paid for….yes, that means all will be bought for FREE!!!! π PTL!!!Β π OK…sorry had to get that frugal plug in there too!! π Organization can be done cost effectively. π
Most importantly Dear Friend, just do what works best for you, encourages and motivates you…keep it simple!! π
PSS….Here some of the cutest sticky note flags…ever!! Wow, Christmas list here I come!! π
CUTE!!! I LOVE THESE!!! π
I LOVE this for my travel bag organization when out and about, especially at our homeschool school day!! π
