Good Day Dear Friends,
I pray you all had a lovely weekend!! 🙂
Today is beautiful and bright in our parts. I pray for the families recovering from all the storms in America and those suffering from the severe heat. Please, be careful and wise as times are truly changing. Seek the Lord, He will guide you and your family. Always keep remembering, He loves you so.
Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” Hebrews 13:5 NASB
He is ALWAYS there for His children…just keep seeking Him. 🙂
Our family was blessed to relax on Saturday and putter around the house. I loved working on some neat projects in our home. (To be encouraged, you can go back and read my previous posts.)
We also were blessed to visit a wonderful family church on Sunday. A dear sweet fellowship that so ministered to our hearts!! Before we could even sit down for worship, a dear sweet pastor met and greeted us graciously as well as many others. Though this pastor didn’t know it, instantly spoke a message that the Lord used to minister to our hearts. To share how much the Lord works, it is not a typical statement spoken to visitors. The Lord knew we needed an answer to see His guidance in our visit. The Holy Spirit works in and among the Lord’s people in ways that truly reveal the His presence in our lives.
The church is a bit of a drive…but as the family said yesterday, a beautiful drive!! Several families drive to the church…some as much as 4 hours away. We were humbled. 🙂 We thought we would have to leave immediately as one of our children had a commitment, but we were invited to stay for supper and our child was able to postpone the commitment. PTL, I had made homemade chicken salad for our family to eat on the road home. So we had an offering for the fellowship supper…though not required. It was even a double batch of organic yummy homemade chicken salad our son finished preparing to take on the road!! The Lord prepared us in a way, we could never know. 🙂 It was such a sweet Sunday supper and fellowship!! We met some truly lovely people and again, if we hadn’t met a soul…the messages truly ministered to our hearts!! The Lord is so good and greatly to be praised!!
Just as a quick explanation, in this church there is a heart for families to stay to be able to stay together for worship and Bible study. A calling we have had all our children’s lives. (We were the family in the back with all the children. 🙂 ) We have searched low and high for this type of fellowship. And this is a very loving and non-legalistic church…truly a Bible believing fellowship. I am excited as “iron sharpens iron” Prov. 27:17 as scripture tells us…this is a fellowship that we envision growing and serving with as the Lord leads!! We seek His will in this opportunity.
There are also encouragements throughout the week not only for us as a family, but even for our older children to seek the Lord in their adult lives and serve others!! Amen!! I always have told our children since they were little, Jesus did not come as an earthly king, but He came as a servant. So if we are to be like Christ, we need to have a Servant’s heart. Amen!!
OK, I am running over with praise this day. 🙂 Sorry if I have run long.
I have a long lists of to do’s this week. So I better get going. Again, I pray your day is truly blessed and that your week is one of great blessings to you, your family and all those that you will bless this week with your presence!! 🙂
Have a wonderful week in the Lord and serve well Dear Friends…He loves you so,
k
